Meditation should have a goal

Here’s something I just posted in the Radical Acceptance Through Meditation Facebook group:

✨✨✨

If it doesn’t have a goal, how do you know you’re doing it right?

Look, it’s all well and good to “just sit” if that’s working for you. But, you know as well as I do it doesn’t work all the time. No matter how much you tell yourself “meditation has no goal” or “things are fine just as they are”, you still avoid meditation because you’re not sure if you’re doing it right, or because you’re not sure what the point is.

The only way you’re going to figure that out is by setting a goal and trying to achieve it.

No wonder you’re so bored.
